Hello Art,
A message from Dawn led me here. I have only now heard the very sad news. It has helped me to read your essay. I'm glad you were able to be with him in his suffering.

Thank you for the reminder, Art. I have been having memories of what once was - and found your words helpful in remembering that what once was is no more at our old place of employment. I must say that I do miss many collegues - and find that I see more and more of us electronically and in the oddest places from time to time. All the best for your second year out!

Dear Art - what a wonderful tribute to Brian. I am feeling very empty right now. I had just reconnected with Brian thanks to Facebook. It was such pleasure to hear from him again. All wit. I am picturing your apartment in Santa Fe and the many good times we all had there. I was just imagining meeting again next summer in Santa Fe for a 20 year reunion.

Oh Art, I am so very sorry Brian passed away. His addiction story is much like my son's story--ending with seizures, confused, and still searching for his next drink. I write about him in my next book, "Tales of Addiction."
Allow the feelings to flow and continue telling his stories...
Love & Light,
Barbara~
