Hello Art,
A message from Dawn led me here. I have only now heard the very sad news. It has helped me to read your essay. I'm glad you were able to be with him in his suffering.

Dear Art - what a wonderful tribute to Brian. I am feeling very empty right now. I had just reconnected with Brian thanks to Facebook. It was such pleasure to hear from him again. All wit. I am picturing your apartment in Santa Fe and the many good times we all had there. I was just imagining meeting again next summer in Santa Fe for a 20 year reunion.

Oh Art, I am so very sorry Brian passed away. His addiction story is much like my son's story--ending with seizures, confused, and still searching for his next drink. I write about him in my next book, "Tales of Addiction."
Allow the feelings to flow and continue telling his stories...
Love & Light,
Barbara~
